Friday March 17, 2006

Opening Night for Sight unseen was last night and the crowd really seemed to enjoy themselves. The show went really well, with one tiny delay at the beginning over a pieve of paper that somehow ended up on the top step of stage right. Other than that it was pretty smooth. The cast brought really strong performances to the stage and really sold the show. There was only about half a house downstairs and I don't know how many people were in the balcony, since I was at the sound board all night and can't see the balcony from there. There was a post show reception at D'Amico's which was propapble the best post show reception I've been to yet. Complimentary drinks and lots of food. There was deep fried battered fish, brushetta, pita pizzas, and the piece de resistance... Deep fried Macaroni and Cheese. Yes that's right deep Fried Mac and Cheese.... it was like bite sized grilled cheese sandwiches, tasty very tasty.
Tonight we will be competing with Saint Patrick's day (which isn't the big deal on the west coast that it is here), so here's keeping our fingers crossed that we have a good crowd.

Now to the Feast.....

FRIDAY FEAST MARCH 17
Appetizer
What job would you definitely not want to have?
Dishwasher... there's not enough money in the world to make me wash dishes for a living.

Soup
Oprah calls and wants you to appear on her show. What would that day's show be about?
It could be any number of things, but would probably be about cancer survivors or something sappy like that... it's what works for Oprah..... I'd rather do Ellen.

Salad
Name 3 vegetables that you eat on a regular basis.
Baby Carrots (I bring them to work everyday and eat them like chips), Brocolli, Turnip... in the late summer early fall we feast alot on corn.

Main Course
If you were commissioned to rename your hometown, what would you call it?
I like the name it already has. Williams Lake, BC... why fix something that ain't broke?

Dessert
If you had a personal assistant, what kind of tasks would you have them to do?
I'm too much of a control freak to trust my personal errands to another person, so a personal assistant would be completely useless to me, in fact it would probably stress me out in stead of making life easier. What I really need is a maid. We are both slobs, niether one of us likes doing dishes so they pile up beside the sink until there aren't any dishes left before they get done.
